We've started a new discussion group on computer-supported peer review in education. It's dedicated to issues that were the focus of the CSPRED Workshop and to growing and supporting the community of peer review researchers and practitioners. Anyone is welcome to join.
So far, we have been discussing sharing research bibliographies and other resources. One suggestion is that if you use social bookmarking services (e.g., CiteULike, Delicious, Mendeley), consider using the tag "cspred" to identify academic papers and other resources related to computer-supported peer review in education. (This is preferable to using a tag such as "peer_review", because it filters out those things that focus on peer review as a professional practice.) Also, if you use Zotero, you should join the new Zotero peer review group. |

The CSPRED Workshop went well. We had a nice mix of empirical and theoretical work, covering both cognitive science and technological aspects of peer review in education.
The proceedings of the workshop are freely available for download.
If you presented related work at ITS 2010 or EDM 2010, we will be happy to include it on this website. Please email us your paper, poster, and slides. |

If you have not submitted a paper and wish to take advantage of the deadline extension, please submit an abstract in EasyChair by April 15th, 2010. We are pleased to announce that we will publish a special issue in partnership with the Journal of Writing Research (JoWR). This issue will contain extended versions of papers presented at the CSPRED Workshop that focus on peer review in the context of writing. JoWR, an open access journal, publishes high quality theoretical, empirical, and review papers covering the broad spectrum of writing research. |

Computer-supported peer review has recently attracted the attention of researchers as a technology and instructional activity that benefits both students and educators, and in a wide variety of settings. We are pleased to announce a workshop on computer-supported peer review in education, to be held in conjunction with ITS 2010. We hope you'll consider submitting a paper and attending the workshop. |
